PurpleDoor presents ‘As You Like It’

All the Wirral’s a stage and in August Heswall Hall will be home to one of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays.

The award winning PurpleDoor is bringing ‘As You Like It’ to the Hall from 27-29th August 2024.

With bar and live music from 6.30pm and show at 7.30pm,  this is Shakespeare as you’ve never seen it before. Forget sitting in the dark and having to be quiet, this show is for everyone – and that means rewriting the rules and making it fun.

The production will be completely accessible, words will be projected in modern English so you can understand what’s going on and you won’t have to sit in silence.

“We think all theatre should be like this,” said a spokesman for the theatre company. “And just in case you were wondering, it’s ok to bring everyone – including your gran!”

PurpleDoor has previously toured the UK and Ireland and is supported by figures including Stephen Fry and Sir Ian McKellen.

One not to miss – the perfect way to shake off the cobwebs and bring Shakespeare to life.

Main show 7.30pm- approx finish time 10pm

Concessions are under 16’s, senior citizens (over 65)   and carers.
