Heswall Hall is excited to present a recorded live at the Royal Opera House performance of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.

In this timeless opera, young Japanese geisha Cio-Cio-San marries American naval officer Pinkerton, believing it to be a lifelong commitment. She abandons her faith and community, dreaming of a future together. However, for Pinkerton, their union is nothing more than a fleeting illusion, leading to heartbreaking consequences.

Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, first performed in 1904, boasts a stunning score that captures both beauty and tragedy in equal measure.
