Heswall Hall has taken a bright step into the future and toward sustainability by installing solar panels on its roof.
The 80 panels were fitted by Irby based firm Eco Renewable Energy Ltd and – despite the less than favourable recent weather – are already proving their worth.
“We wanted to take advantage of the renewable energy opportunity while making use of the considerable space on the roof – solar panels were the obvious choice,” said Hall CEO Matt Whitby.
“We were also keen to support local businesses – the hall is at the heart of its community afterall – hence why we chose ERE.”
The panels generate clean energy, reduce operating costs, and the environmental footprint.
“And even though the weather has been far from sunny we’re already seeing the benefit,” said Matt.
HH received grant funding to help with the cost.
